Notifications alert a designated person if something is not as it should be or if a threshold has been exceeded on preset criteria. The system will show how many unhandled notifications you have with a red number over the notification menu icon. But as many notifications are time-critical, you can set up alerts via SMS and/or email.
For geofence, you can be notified by email and/or SMS if an asset enters or exits a specific area. Each asset can be linked to more than one notification and area and you can have several notifications set up on the same geofence area.
Geofence areas are managed through the ‘Map’, open the ‘Map’ menu: https://abax.cloud/central/map/
Your existing geofences are listed in the left-hand banner under the “Geofences” tab.
The icon
will show if notifications are enabled for the geofence and the icon
will show if automatic purposes or address override is enabled.
You can use the free text field to search for a specific geofence, narrow with a filter or scroll through the list.
Clicking on any geofence will show the area on the map.
Click the ‘Edit’ button by ‘Notifications’ and click ‘add notification’ to create a new one or click a current notification from the list to edit/delete.
Select from the assets list which assets you would like to create a notification for, select enter, exit or both and enter the contact details of the recipients.
Click ‘save’.
Now any time an asset meets the trigger criteria, you will be sent a notification.
