Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, reliable installation.
Step 1. Pick a mounting location
Suitable mounting locations are based on proximity to a power supply and the assets that require monitoring.
Installation tips:
- The device can be mounted indoors or outdoors
- Avoid placing the device so it is encased in metal or near other electronic components
- Do not mount on hot surfaces or moving parts
Step 2. Prepare the area
Ensure the cables comfortably reach the power source and are protected from being pinched or damaged.
Clean and dry the mounting location using the supplied cleansing wipe.
Step 3. Mount the device
Firmly stick the device in place and tidy any cabling with the zip ties provided.
We recommend keeping the device connected at all times.
Once connected, the LED will blink for several minutes. When it stops, the device is ready. It may take up to an hour for the first location to register on your platform. If no update occurs, contact ABAX support.
Step 4. Register the device
Find the device's serial number in the ABAX Admin app and enter any relevant details.
