Works with: ABAX6M

Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, reliable installation.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Find a constant power supply

Find an electrical junction box on the trailer. A typical trailer can have between 1 to 4 waterproof boxes where all the wiring is stored. If you need help, refer to the manual.

2. Pick a mounting location

Ideal mounting locations include nearby or in the junction box. For best installs:

  • Avoid placing the device beneath metal or near other electronic equipment

  • Do not mount on hot surfaces or moving parts

  • If possible, position the device's logo towards the sky

  • Be consistent with your mounting locations across your fleet

3. Prepare the area
Clean and dry the mounting area using the supplied cleansing wipe. Then feed the cable to the mounting area to ensure it does not get pinched.

4. Mount the device

The device is specially designed to handle frequent connection and disconnection from a power source, making it perfectly suited to connect to the trailers lighting circuit.

When connected, the LED will blink for up to 10 minutes, then stop once startup is complete. It may take up to one day for the first location update. If the device has not updated after this time, please contact the customer services team.

5. Register the device
Find the device's serial number in the ABAX Admin app and enter any relevant details.

No app access? Setup can be completed later in the web platform by an Admin. For now, note the serial number, date, time and other relevant details like name, make, model, Reg. No and/or mileage.

Q. How do you reset the device?
A. This varies depending on the device – for ease, contact Customer Service, and we’ll be able to guide you through the best option.
