Automatic purpose overview

Automate purpose is useful when you automatically want to set a purpose for a trip. It is a great way to stay tax compliant and saves your drivers manually adding the purpose in their Driver app. Additionally, filtering trips based on purpose is a great way of getting the data you need when it is time to invoice your customers. 

• Geofence areas are managed through the ‘Map’, open the ‘Map’ menu: https://abax.cloud/central/map/  
• Your existing geofences are listed in the left-hand banner under the “Geofences” tab.

  will show if notifications are enabled for the geofence and the icon

  

  will show if automatic purposes or address override is enabled.

• You can use the free text field to search for a specific geofence, narrow with a filter or scroll through the list.  
• Clicking on any geofence will show the area on the map.  
• Click the ‘Edit’ button by ‘Automate purpose’ and enter the desired purpose on trips that starts or ends in this area – top tip, we often see that our customers add project numbers or the name of their customer as the automatic purpose to a specific site. 
• Click ‘update’ to save.  
• Now any time an asset start or stops in this area the purpose will be automatically changed in your reports.
