ABAX RFID
To keep tax-compliant mileage records, it is vital that each business trip is associated with a driver. For companies that operate pool vehicles that are shared by multiple drivers, this can be a logistical nightmare.
To help, ABAX has developed the add-on service ABAX Driver ID, that allows a driver to log on to a vehicle via an in-vehicle RFID Reader or our ABAX Triplog app. Once logged on, all driver and vehicle data is conveniently logged and organised to give you control over the live map, trips, driving behaviour data and reports - so your system remains auditable and compliant.
Get Started
When ABAX Driver ID is ordered, ABAX requires a list of all drivers, vehicles and, if applicable, RFID numbers. To simplify the onboarding process, ABAX will add all drivers to the system and connect them with their respective RFID numbers. If ABAX does not receive the list, or the company adds new drivers with new RFID numbers, the administrator will enter these details.
How to mount, log on and reset the RFID 1 reader
Using the Velcro supplied, mount the reader on the dashboard of the vehicle within 70 cm of the ABAX triplog device.
To sign on as a driver, press your RFID card/tag against the ‘PRESS’ button. A beep tone and green light will confirm a successful log on.
To manually log out of the vehicle, press the blue ‘X’ button. Log out will be confirmed by a beep tone and a red light.
The driver will remain logged on until they log out manually (by pressing the blue ‘X’ button or via the app) or another driver logs on to the vehicle.
